Penny Royal – Herbally Yours – The Little Herb Encylopedia – Jack Ritchason

Both are recommended by Angela Harris (www.angelaharris.com) and I find them very useful, easy to understand.  Herbally Yours, I acquired from her herbal class but I have been using the Herb Encyclopedia since I started on herbs.  In both books, the use of each herb is detailed with bold emphasis on the main uses; according to an ailment, herb combinations (but not quantity) are listed.  I will transcribe my notes from the herb class after this week  – Angela is conducting Herbalogy 101 of 3 classes over a three week period.

Quick Savory Tofu

Quick Savory Tofu

2 1-lb packages of organic soft tofu

Half an onion chopped very fine (minced if you wish)

Thumb-sized ginger minced

5-6 cloves garlic minced

One bunch cilantra (chopped)

Braggs Amino Acid

Sea salt
TofuOrganic

Heat coconut oil (you want to use enough to drizzle over tofu) and fry onions – do not burn.

Season onions with some sea salt.

When onions are ready, add ginger and ginger, turn off heat, mix well, remove from stove.

Put cubed tofu in heat resistant dish.

Sprinkle with some cilantro.

Pour some onion/ginger/garlic mixture over cilantro.

Sprinkle with cilantro, repeat with onion mixture.

Drizzle Braggs over the dish and serve over brown rice (I usually cook a mixture of organic brown, white and quinoa.)

I also sprinkle pinches of Japanese Togarashichimi to give the dish a bite.  As a daily habit, I drizzle flaxseed oil over the tofu and rice.

This dish is very easy and delicious, also a good way to eat lots of raw organic cilantro.  For this dish, every ingredient I use is organic.

Cost of dish – tofu was $1.69 from Whole Foods, organic cilantro from Whole Foods was $1.49.  Overall, cost about $7.00 for tofu and rice.

Goat Milk or Cow Milk

Why goat milk over cow’s milk?

The molecules in goat’s milk are closest to the molecules in human (cow’s milk has larger fat globules and these separate and to the surface, so the milk has to be homogenized – means to make even the components – in this case, usually treated to heat so that the the milk is of a molecular size that humans can digest).

I’ve been told, raw milk is the best.  Well, animals don’t drink treated milk, that’s something to think about.

Update – Hubby’s progress

The last few days, hubby said he felt like his body was fighting a cold, aches here and then.  He has been using the System Cleanse (www.angelaharris.com) and from what we understand, cleansing can be draining on the body so we will wait and see how he feels tomorrow.  I started the System Cleanse too, and I have been cleaning out!  Angela says, do the cleanse for six weeks, take two weeks off and start again.

Yesterday, hubby did a coffe enema, and he may do that again tomorrow.  In herbal books, enemas are supposed to be a great way to flush out toxins from the body.  I haven’t tried this.

Diet-wise, hubby has been disciplined, but he did have some cookies today, organic ingredients and the sugar was cane sugar.  I don’t think he should have eaten them, even though he had very few.  Sometimes, his diet is so blah I don’t know how he does it.

I intend to make up another batch of greens comprising of alfalfa, barley grass and peppermint (helps with digestion) .  Our current powdered greens contain a lot of ingredients, see below.

Another Shocking Warning About Swine Flu Vaccine

The swine flu vaccine has been hit by new cancer fears after a German health expert gave a shocking warning about its safety.

Lung specialist Wolfgang Wodarg has said that there are many risks associated with the vaccine for the H1N1 virus. The nutrient solution for the vaccine consists of cancerous cells from animals, and some fear that the risk of cancer could be increased by injecting the cells.

The vaccine can also cause worse side effects than the actual swine flu virus.

Finally some good news to report about the swine flu mess.

This site, and many others seeking to shed light on this deceptive manipulation, are making a huge impact and the people are refusing to believe the government propaganda.

Vaccine safety advocates everywhere are beginning to make a serious dent. According to a recent Fox News poll, the majority of people in the US now believe the swine flu vaccine may be deadlier than the actual virus.

Additionally, there is more good news when it comes to what health care professionals believe. Research published in the August 25 issue of the British Medical Journal reveals that more than half of doctors and nurses in public hospitals would also refuse the H1N1 vaccine, due to concerns about side effects and doubts about its efficacy.

New Potential Health Risks of the Swine Flu Vaccine Emerge

Just last week I reported on the confidential correspondence between the British Health Protection Agency and 600 neurologists, warning them to be on the lookout for cases of Guillain- Barré Syndrome once the swine flu vaccine campaign begins.

I’ve published earlier articles about some of the more dangerous ingredients in this vaccine, such as mercury, and squalene, which has been linked to the development of autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Now, German lung specialist Wolfgang Wodarg has come out about even more potential health risks associated with the swine flu vaccine. Interestingly, Dr. Wodarg also holds political office, as the chairman of the health committee in the German parliament and European Council.

According to Dr. Wodarg, the swine flu vaccine contains animal cancer cells, and there’s no data indicating whether or not this may cause an allergic reaction when injected.

It also raises questions about the risk of contracting cancer.

He also told the German press that the widespread fear of the pandemic was an “orchestration,” stating,

It is great business for the pharmaceutical industry. Swine flu is not very different from normal flu. On the contrary, if you look at the number of cases it is nothing compared to a normal flu outbreak.”

More Documentation about Swine Flu Vaccine Safety

A recent article by Dr. Blaylock also highlights the many reasons why the vaccine may be far more dangerous than the virus. If you have interest in this issue I would strongly encourage you to read Dr. Blaylock’s article.

He states that the Baxter swine flu vaccine, called Celvapan, uses cultured cells from the African green monkey, which has previously been implicated as having transmitted a number of vaccine-contaminating viruses, including the HIV virus.

Likewise, Johannes Löwer, president of the Paul Ehrlich Institute, believes the side effects of the vaccine can be far worse than the actual swine flu virus, which typically causes only mild symptoms, requiring just a few days in bed.

As you may already know, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) consistently claim the seasonal flu kills about 36,000 Americans each year. After investigating that figure, it has been found to be a gross exaggeration based on flawed data compilation, but still, the swine flu has claimed FAR fewer lives than the seasonal flu in any given year, and no draconian measures have ever been taken to curtail the seasonal flu.

Based on a rational view of the numbers involved, the widespread fear over the swine flu certainly appears completely unwarranted.

I’d also like to point out that even though the World Health Organization’s web site claims that there has been at least 2,185 deaths from the swine flu worldwide, stating that: “Given that countries are no longer required to test and report individual cases, the number of cases reported actually understates the real number of cases,” the truth is likely quite different..

Why?

Because some countries, such as Great Britain, are now recording any and all cases of flu as the swine flu, based on nothing more than an online questionnaire.

How would this practice lead to an understatement of the real number of swine flu cases?

Without laboratory verification, it’s quite likely that a very large number of these so-called swine flu cases are in fact cases of seasonal flu.

Industry Versus Independent Research Findings — Who are You Going to Believe?

Dr. Blaylock claims to have reviewed a number of studies on the immune adjuvant squalene, and found that several of the human test studies found it to be very safe. However, upon further investigation, they were all done by the pharmaceutical companies using the adjuvant.

However, a great number of the studies done by independent research facilities all found a strong link between squalene or MF-59 (which contains squalene) and autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Blaylock warns,

“Studies of other immune adjuvants using careful tracer techniques have shown that they routinely enter your brain following vaccination.

What most people do not know, even the doctors who recommend the vaccines, is that most such studies by pharmaceutical companies observe the patients for only one to two weeks following vaccination-these types of reactions may take months or even years to manifest.”

This is a major point.

If you were to develop an autoimmune disease years down the line, how would you ever be able to prove that your disease originated in a needle?

And worse, even if you could prove it, it wouldn’t do you any good, because vaccine manufacturers have cleverly manipulated government into granting them immunity against lawsuits, should any harm be caused by this experimental vaccine.”

I think if parents knew what was really in the foods sold in stores, they would choose differently what they want their children to eat.

Read the highlights – “kids born in the year 2000 (that is this year’s 4th Graders) will be insulin dependent by the time they reach adulthood.”

Read this – “So if the processed food we buy in Aisle 9 contains ingredients linked to hyperactivity in children, then rather than ban the use of that synthetic ingredient and insist on the use of a more natural alternative, as countries around the world have done, we simply have to walk a few aisles over in the grocery store to pick up our ADHD medicines from Aisle 2.”  –

And we wonder why our children have earned the title “Generation Rx” or why our economy is heaving under the burden of health care costs.

According to the World Health Organization, the US ranks 37th out of 40 countries (on par with Slovenia) in terms of “health care”.  According to the American Cancer Society, the US has the highest rate of cancer of any country in t… with migration studies showing that if you are to move here from somewhere like Japan, your likelihood of developing cancer increases four-fold.

We’ve done a lousy job of preventing illness in our country.  And while that’s been good for Big Pharma, the costs being born by the majority of American citizens now far outweigh the benefits being reaped by a few corporate ones.

As we watch family members suffer from diabetes, cancers and asthma, it begs the question: Why?  Why are these conditions often referred to as “American epidemics” in international publications like The Economist? Why does health care spending consume over 16% of our economy here in the US, while its associated economic burden in France is closer to 8%?  Why does Starbucks spend more on health care than it does on coffee?

The reasons?  There are many.  But perhaps the most differentiating is that in our country, sickness sells. With Money Driven Medicine, there is little incentive to prevent illness. Sickness is good for business.  Disease enhances earnings.  So if the processed food we buy in Aisle 9 contains ingredients linked to hyperactivity in children, then rather than ban the use of that synthetic ingredient and insist on the use of a more natural alternative, as countries around the world have done, we simply have to walk a few aisles over in the grocery store to pick up our ADHD medicines from Aisle 2.

And our economy hums along.  Or does it?

In 1946, Harry Truman said, “A nation is only as healthy as its children”.  And 50 years ago, we paid close heed, reaping the rewards of today’s Bill Gates and Meg Whitmans.   Thirty years ago, we were still paying attention, as evidenced by today’s Mark Zuckerbergs and Sergey Brins.

But what about tomorrow?  Given that our future productivity, economic viability and financial stability are contingent on the health of today’s children, perhaps we should pause and consider the seeds that we are sowing with  “Generation Rx” .

And if you are inclined, you can Do Something about it and be part of the solution.”

“If GM Crops Harm Animals, What are They Doing to You?

GM corn found itself in the hot seat late last year, after a highly reputable study commissioned by the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety discovered that mice fed GM corn had significantly smaller and fewer offspring compared to the control group.

The lead author of the study stated there was a direct link between the GM diet and reduced fertility.

Likewise, Jeffrey Smith, author of Seeds of Deception and Genetic Roulette, has documented 65 serious health risks from GM products of all kinds. Among them:

  • Offspring of rats fed GM soy showed a five-fold increase in mortality, lower birth weights, and the inability to reproduce
  • Male mice fed GM soy had damaged sperm
  • The embryo offspring of GM soy-fed mice had altered DNA functioning
  • Several US farmers reported sterility or fertility problems among pigs and cows fed on GM corn varieties

So the question is, what do these foods do to your body?

Personally, I strongly believe that genetically modified foods are a significant threat against the very sustainability of the human race.

The available research shows incriminating links between the side effects of GM foods and diseases that have skyrocketed since the release of GM ingredients into our food supply, such as autoimmune diseases and severe food allergies.

GM Foods are Flawed Scientific Dogma Run Amok

The well-known scientist Dr. Arpad Pusztai stated in an article last year,

“Reality really started to dawn on genetic scientists with the completion of the human genome project showing that the dogma of genetic determinism, the science basis of genetic engineering was untrue, as the less than 30,000 genes could not possibly code for the about 200,000 cellular proteins.

It was also realized that the about 97 percent non-gene “junk” DNA has a decisive role in the genome. Our primitive splicing techniques together with our inability to direct the transgene into “safe” zones in the genome, if such zones exist at all, were shown to lead to insertional mutagenesis with unpredictable consequences.

Although it is impossible to forecast in advance what these consequences for health and the environment will be, a few independent studies have already shown… new anti-nutrients, toxins, and allergens were formed as by-products of gene-splicing, and other, mainly unpredictable immunity-related problems also occurred.

… the industry still hangs on to the less costly but unscientific principle of “substantial equivalence”, i.e. the near identity of the GE crop with its parent line, as their main “safety testing,” and only commission simple contract animal feeding/production studies as a last resort to support their case of human/animal safety.

In fact, there are hardly more than over two dozens of published academic animal safety studies, and the results of only one human trial have been published, and even that was not a full clinical study (Netherwood et al. 2004).”

“Natural flavors” is way down in the list and what does that contain, if it’s something to be proud of, won’t it be proudly stated?
